Working together on the theme of creation myths we spent 10 days in a dance studio and theatre at Salford University researching and developing ideas, by the end of the 10 days we had the start of a performance that we are looking to develop further into a piece ready for public showing. My role in the project was to design the set and the costumes. Panoply!! Is an artistic performative event,inspired by the eccentricities and ambition of contemporary fashion catwalk designs and displays. For a one off evening event, Panoply!! Brings artists, designers and performers together to take on the job of creatively displaying a fullc atalogue of design with concept in front of a live audience. I had two pieces in the show, firstly the entrance piece which was made from a gazebo frame and furnishing trimmings, and also a piece that resembled a changing room with mirrors at the front. This piece was intended for the audience to confront their ideas about fashion starting with themselves. Behind the mirror was a performer singing in french throughout the duration of the show, completely hidden apart from her hands which were clutching the mirror.
